Sanctions by Employment Service Workers Tuesday

The workers' committee of the Employment Service will start open-ended sanctions, Tuesday, closing the service's offices and telephone lines to the public until further notice in protest of what they call an attempt to privatize the service. The workers plan to demonstrate, next week, outside the offices of Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Shalom Simchon.

Chairman Aharon Hotovely of the workers' committee said, that Simchon "continues ignoring the employment service staff, who are extremely professional and highly skilled in the treatment, training and placement [of the service's clients]."
