C'tee Considers Amended Digital-Book Bill

The Knesset Education, Culture and Sports Committee is holding a meeting, Monday morning, to prepare for its first reading in the Knesset, an amended version of a bill by Member of Knesset Einat Wilf (Ha'atzma'ut) to require publishers to produce digital versions of each printed school book. The digital version would be as much as 60 percent cheaper, and parents would have the option of the digital or the printed version.

A paragraph was added to the bill to allow accessibility for children with visual impairments and other disabilities.
