Hamas politburo leader Khaled Mashaal plans to tour Gaza with Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority (PA), according to a Monday report by Al-Hayat.

A PA source told the London-based Arabic daily that Mashaal asked Egypt to let him enter Gaza via the Rafah crossing from the Sinai Peninsula. The source did not give a specific date, saying only that the visit would take place "at the appropriate time".
