The number of Jewish terror casualties in Judea and Samaria has declined over the last four years, according to data released, Thursday. Murders went from 68 in 2007 to nine in 2011, including the five members of the Fogel family in Itamar. Rock throwing generally declined and accompanied other incidents.
A senior security official said the Palestinian Authority was doing less to thwart terrorist activity. He said the PA's new court system put legal restrictions on arrests. He also said that while the security establishment has an interest in stopping Hamas terror, it's in the interest of the political echelon not to hit Hamas.
