Against the backdrop of growing tension between parts of the religious public and the army, the brigadier general sought to convey the unequivocal message that "loyalty to the IDF must be a solid foundation and not something we play with." He added, "I tell everybody to be careful, be careful about our common home, on this great divine gift we called the State of Israel and the IDF," adding that the military must be protected at all costs.

"We have to safeguard it, and I can tell you as an anti - thesis this call, after each of preparing the preparation proper, there is no doubt that the word most important to all of us here that will rally behind. This is very important and very significant. We need to know that the army dear is our people's army" , stated Rabbi Peretz.
