IDF Chief Rabbi: We Don't Play with Loyalty to IDF

Chief Rabbi RafiPeretz of the Israel Defense Forces encouraged students at the Zeitlinschool in Tel Aviv, Thursday, to enlist in the IDF, saying, "It is veryimportantandvery significant."

Against the backdrop of growing tensionbetweenparts ofthe religiouspublic and thearmy, the brigadiergeneral sought to conveythe unequivocal message that"loyaltyto the IDFmustbea solid foundationand notsomethingwe playwith." He added, "I tell everybodyto be careful,be carefulaboutourcommon home,onthis greatdivinegiftwecalledthe State of Israeland the IDF," adding that the military must be protected at all costs.



"We have tosafeguard it,andIcan tell youas an anti-thesisthis call,aftereach ofpreparingthe preparationproper,there is no doubtthat the wordmost importantto all of usherethatwill rally behind.This is very importantandvery significant.We need to knowthat the armydearis ourpeople's army",statedRabbi Peretz.
