The Yisrael Hayomnewspaperapologized, Tuesday, to Coordinator Sagi Keisler of the Samaria (Shomron) Residents' Committee after publishing a story that he gaveinformation to prosecutors regarding the riot by activists at the headquarters of the Israel Defense Forces' Ephraim Division. The apologycameaftera letter from the committee's attorney,DoronNir Zvi, threatening a suit if an apology was not forthcoming.
Keisler told Arutz Sheva,"In recent years,a number ofreporters got used [to the idea] that the settlersaretransparent,you canstep on them,to slanderthemandaccusethem of plotswithout anytrace ofethicsordecency.era isover.Samarian residentsare nota doormatofanyone. Every libelous journalistwill be demanded [to apologize],and ifhe does not apologize- to pay".
