The competitive-bidding committeeofthe Ministry of Health announced,Tuesday, that it iscancellingthe tenderforstudenthealthservices after a thorough examination of the matter and in accordance with a legal opinion. Becauseone of the bidders has the right to make a claim or argument, the decision is not yet final.
During a hearing on the matter by the Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee, Member of Knesset Aryeh Eldad (National Union) welcomed the decision by Deputy Health Minister Ya'akov Litzman to return student health services in the southern part of the country from private contractors to the state. Professor Eldad explained that the pilot program destroyed student health services and was more expensive.
