MK Danny Danon (Likud) rejects the statements of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon against the settlement of Judea and Samaria.
“The nonsensical statements of the UN Secretary-General in Egypt demonstrate his illiteracy about what is going on in Israel and in Judea and Samaria. Yesha settlement is the essence of Zionism, and instead of condemning it he should promote Middle Eastern stability by reinforcing the regional bastion of sanity – the State of Israel.
“Baseless statements that harm the relations between Israel and the PA should be replaced with study of Israeli history, and the promotion of activity on behalf of the future of the Middle East.
Ban Ki Moon called for the “End of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian and Arab land.” In Beirut Ban said the violence against PA Arabs must stop. He added that new and old settlements are illegal, and continued construction is contradictory to the solution of two states.
