Shekel Dollar Down, Euro Up

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .252 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.83, down .156 percent from Thursday, while the Euro rose .724 percent to 4.9225 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.8861, up .051 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .052 percent to 4.9925 shekels. The Swiss frank, which is tied to the Euro, rose .781 percent to NIS 4.0662 and the Danish krone was fixed at .6619 shekels, up .73 percent.
