Elkin: High Court Used Common Sense

Coalition Chairman Ze’ev Elkin (Likud) is pleased with the High Court ruling on the citizenship law and said, “I’m glad the majority of the High Court used common sense and stood by the claim that human rights cannot jeopardize the State.
“Nonetheless, I am perturbed that almost half of the High Court believes Israel should accept tens of thousands of PA Arabs and were willing to deny the State the right to defend itself from a gradual return of refugees via fictive marriages.
“It is entertaining to see the same people who kept criticizing me over my wish to change the High Court judge selection process now castigating a legitimate High Court ruling.”
