The Foreign Ministry of Egypt announced they would seek to ban any type of Jewish prayer service at the tomb of Rabbi Yaakov Abuhatzeira. The grave site is located in Daymouta, near Cairo. Known as the Avir Yaakov and Abu Hasira, he passed away in 1880 in Egypt on his way from Morocco to the Land of Israel. In the past Egyptian protesters affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood have attempted to physically block any Jewish worshipers from reciting prayers at the grave.
