MK Danon: Barak Should Join Lapid's Party

MK Danny Danon (Likud) is continuing his campaign to keep Ehud Barak out of the party. Battling rumors that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is planning to offer Barak a “reserved spot” as one of the top members of the Likud list, Danon suggested that Barak instead join the new party being started by now-former Channel 2 talk show host Yair Lapid, “Barak should move to Lapid's party, he may find a common ideological basis with him.”

Danon said that there has been much discussion in the Likud recently on the Barak issue. Danon, who is a candidate for the presidency of the Likud Internal Committee, pledged to do all he could to keep Barak out of the Likud.
