The economics divisionofthe Manufacturers Associationreported, Monday, that 1,800 industrial workerswere laid off between September andOctober 2011.
The figure representsa decline of half a percentin the number ofemployees, afteran increase ofabout five percentin the number ofemployeessince 2009.
