Weather: Wet in the North, Windy Everywhere


It will be partly cloudy, Monday with winds up to 40 kilometers/26 miles an hour, making for a high-wave warning at Mediterranean beaches. Occasional showers are forecast in the northern half of the country and scattered showers along the Mediterranean coastal plain, weakening during the day and tapering off at night. Snow is expected on Mt. Hermon. It will be fair and warmer on Tuesday. Frequent showers are forecast for the north and center of the country on Wednesday, with snow on Mt. Hermon and strong winds driving temperatures down through Thursday. The showers will continue in the north and along the coast, accompanied by thunderstorms. The snow will continue on Mt. Hermon with a chance that it will spread, overnight, to peaks in the Golan and Galilee.
