Railways: No Change from What We Agreed on Last Week

The management of Israel Railways reacted, Sunday evening, to the workers announcement of a strike against outside maintenance operations by saying it contradicted agreements reached, last Tuesday with Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz and Chairman Ofir Eini of the Histadrut Labor Federation.

A statement by management said that, contrary to a statement released by the workers, there had been no change in maintenance arrangement. It added that disruptions in service were already reported, Sunday afternoon, as a result of malfunctions brought about strike action. The railroad provided buses to make up for lost trains.
