Most of the leading indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted modest to moderate gains on Sunday. The exception was the communications index, which declined 1.08 percent to 757.35. The TA composite index rose .35 percent to 1,002.15, while the same percentage increase meant a 1.010.26 closing for the TA 100, including a .12 percent rise to 1,144.55 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. Also rising .35 percent were the real estate issues, which closed at 278.23.
Leading the gainers were the biomed stocks, which rose 1.98 percent to 770.62, while the rest of the technology index closed at 281.28, up 1.33 percent. The oil and natural gas issues rose 1.24 percent to 1,229.33.
