Massive Kabbalat Shabbat observances to mark the beginning of Shabbat are scheduled in nine places around the country, according to Chadashot 24. The observances were publicized in posters, Friday morning, in response to what they called incitement against the hareidi-religious community.
Jerusalem-area sites are in the Russian Compound and at the home of Rabbi Fuchs in Neve Ya'akov. In Bnei Brak, the observances will be held at the bridge marking the entrance to the city, opposite the Coca Cola plant, and at the corner of Jabotinsky and Herzl. Other sites are on Nahar Yarden Street in Beit Shemesh, Kikar Hashevatim in Kiryat Sefer, Petach Tikva's Ba'al Shem Tov Square, opposite the commercial center in Beitar Ilit and at the synagogue plaza in Be'er Sheva.
