City Councilman Reuven Ladianski of Tel Aviv has asked Member of Knesset Anastassia Michaeli (Yisrael Beiteinu) to add sirens and amplified music announcing the imminent start of Shabbat to her bill against excessive noise emanating from mosques. Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service on Thursday, the representative of the Latet Lichyot (Let Us Live) party said that he essentially is trying to stop the noise in the Ramat Hachayal neighborhood which has been made by Gur Hassids in the Neve Sharett neighborhood for years. He added that he turned to MK Michaeli after attempts at dialogue failed and there was no response from an attempt by Mayour Ron Huldai to find a solution. although he still believes in dialogue.
Ladianski says there are many easy ways of finding out when Shabbat starts without intruding on the public.
