Judge: Don't Force Soldiers to Listen to Women Singing


Retired Supreme Court Judge Tzvi Tal said, Thursday, that soldiers who have religious objections to listening to women sing should be given earplugs or allowed to go the restroom but should not be forced to listen to them. Interviewed by Kol Yisrael government radio, the justice said that nobody is preventing the women from singing and that it should not be a public matter. He added that if there were religious objections to listening to women sing among Druze and Cherkassi ranks of the Israel Defense Forces, they wouldn't be forced to do so.
