Barak: No to Stopping IDF Training, Equipping Itself

Defense Minister Ehud Barak reacted to the Treasury's budget proposal by saying, Thursday evening, "I will not allow a situation where we have to stop training, are not equipped with munitions for fighting and Iron Dome interception missiles and batteries, harm operational missions and not be ready for the next confrontation if it happens."

He explained, "At the start of 2012 Israel faces immediate and long-term security challenges and they are both demanding. It's the government's responsibility to respond to them."
