Ilan Levin, who heads the salary department at the Finance Ministry, informed Treasurer Yuval Steinitz, Tuesday, that he intends to step down on May 1st. The date will mark his fourth anniversary in the position.

A Treasury statement cited Levin for leading  reforms in civil service, specifically at the Education Ministry, the Israel Lands Authority and the Israel Broadcasting Authority, among other places. He also led the formulation of wage agreements with the Histadrut in general, and teachers and doctors in particular.
