The Jerusalem District Court released Shlomo Fuchs to house arrest, Friday morning, on bail of NIS 5,000. Fuchs is charged with sexual harassment for calling a female soldier "slut".

Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service, Attorney YairNehorai,who represents anumber ofdefendantsin hareidi-religious society,said charging Fuchs with sexual harassment "was a precedent-setting decision when swearingbecomessexual harassment and itis clearfrom the circumstances and [the defendant's] mental makeupthat not onlyhe did not wantto abuse her sexually, hedid not wantanything to dowith her.I'm not surethat this slippery slopewill not becomeNiagara Falls,so that notonlywill hareidimbutallminoritieswill have to dealwiththis decision. They have to question the notion that a personswearsat a womanand they say it's sexual harassment."
