Monitors from the Arab League came to the city of Homs, Syria to try and smooth things out in the ongoing political unrest. But the anti-government protesters refused to sit down and hold meetings in the presence of a Syrian army officer. The Arab League monitors left the area without coordinating any type of reconciliation.
