C'tee: Channel 1 and Channel 10 Budgets are Separate

The Knesset's House Committee ruled, Monday, that discussion of the debts of commercial television's Channel 10 is different from that of less-commercial Channel 1.

A number of Knesset committees are holding discussions on amendments to the Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA) Law, which revolves around its budget, debts and possible changes to the annual fee charged to Israelis who own televisions and radios. A recent report by the state comptroller criticized the IBA for the way appointments were made and how budgets were determined.
