Israel Condemns Nigeria Terror; Sends Condolences, Aid

Responding to the death of at least 27 people, Sunday, in extremist Muslim bombings of five churches in Nigeria, the Israeli Foreign Ministry issued the following statement, Sunday evening. "Israel condemns in the strongest terms the terror attacks that occurred in Nigeria on Christmas day and expresses deep sadness at the loss of lives of innocent people. The government of the State of Israel conveys its condolences to the government of Nigeria, the Nigerian people and the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured."

The statement concluded, "Israel will be providing the Nigerian authorities with medical supplies to treat the injured."
