The Syrian government claimed, Thursday, that the most recent report by the United Nations about anti-government unrest in the country was "misleading and political".

In a letter to the UN's General Assembly, Security Council and Human Rights Council, the Damascus government accused the world body of supporting the plans of certain countries to persecute it.
