Despite the renewal of coordination between the Israeli and Turkish air forces, the Defense Ministry told Israel Aircraft Industries and Elbit Systems Ltd., Thursday that they had to stop supplying $140 million worth of intelligence systems to the Turkish air force under contracts signed two years ago.
The ministry cited a decision at the diplomatic policy level. Elbit said the government did not renew an export license it had to execute a $90 million from a number of years ago. The company and the government are discussing monetary compensation for the loss.
