Gains offset losses to end the trading week at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Thursday. The TA composite index closed at 974.83, for no change, while the TA 100 slipped .02 percent to 982.01, including a 1091.46 close by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues, down .08 percent. The 50 mid-cap stocks outside the TA 100 rose .32 percent to 349.60.
The biomed issues rose .27 percent to 710.74, while the rest of the technology stocks declined .94 percent to 271.82. The real estate index closed at 264.87, up .09 percent. With the bank stocks falling 1.74 percent to 949.51, the financial institutions finished the day at 877.04, down 1.38 percent, including a .89 percent drop by the insurance issues to 1,011.26. The communications stocks closed at 757.93, down 1.43 percent, and the oil and natural gas index declined .95 percent to 1,144.75.
