MK Threatened Over Mosque Noise Pollution Law

Member of Knesset Anastasia Michaeli said she received death threats in her email and on Facebook over her bill against noise pollution from Muslim mosques. 

Michaeli, a member of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, proposed that the loudness of the muezzin call to prayer be curbed. She noted in particular the pre-dawn calls which are broadcast on loudspeakers from minarets. The Knesset security detail is investgating the issue and be in hightened alert.
