The Ministry of Public Safety dedicated a new emergency center in the Negev industrial center of Ramat Chovav Tuesday morning. Ramat Chovav is home to Israel's largest hazardous waste facility.
The emergency center is the first one erected since last year's Carmel Ridge forest fire. Public Safety Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich told those present, "A revolution in firefighting is under way. What was in the past will not be in the future."
