      Byzantine-Era Bath House Discovered near Beit Shemesh


      It was announced on Tuesday that work on modern water infrastructure next to the Judean Hills moshav community of Tarum, between Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh, uncovered remains of a bath house from the Byzantine era. Dr. Rina Avner, who is managing the archaeological site with Dr. Yitzchak Paz for the Israel Antiquities Authority, said the structure measured 20 meters by 20 meters and dates approximately from the fourth to fifth century C.E.
