Arabs complained Monday that a mosque n the village of Bani Naim, near Hevron, was defaced overnight Sunday. According to the Arabs, the building was defaced with slogans insulting Arabs and Islam.
IDF and Civil Administration officials were in the town investigating the complaints. The IDF has been on alert recently for so-called “price tag” events, in which Jewish residents of Yesha were accused of defacing Arab property, but almost no evidence has been uncovered linking Jews to these incidents.
