Religious Services Minister Ya'akov Margi said, Monday morning, that the crisis in available land in the state has reached a point where the practice of burying people in storeys of graves must be expanded. It has been introduced at the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem. Speaking at a Jerusalem gathering to display the ministry's campaign for expansion of the practice, Margi said that it has been approved by Israel's chief rabbis. A small group of protesters outside the Rimonim Shalom Hotel took issue with the stance.
