President Shimon Peres believes the statue of former president Moshe Katzav should be removed from the statue garden at the President's Residence or carry a label saying that Katzav was convicted of sex crimes, according to a Monday-morning report by the Yediot Acharonot daily.

Peres was cited as saying, in a private conversation, "I am not being judgemental, but I can't go without the whole story being told."
