The PA said over the weekend that Hamas and Fatah had worked out a deal that would allow them to work together in running the Palestinian Authority, and to recognize Israel. According to a report, the PA government would recognize Israel within the 1948 armistice borders, and would agree to a “non-violent struggle” against Israel.
Israel has not responded to the report. There was no official word from Hamas regarding the report.
