The Binyamin and Shomron residents’ committees expressed hope on Thursday that Nitzan Alon will fight Israel’s real enemies.
Responding to the announcement of Alon’s appointment as head of Central Command, the committees said, “The defense minister, who until now treated the IDF as his own private and political property, helps to further spoil the atmosphere with this appointment.”
“We hope that Alon will assume office by focusing on fighting Israel’s real enemies rather than confronting the pioneers of Judea and Samaria. Despite all that we wish him luck.”
