Yad Vashem Shocked By Twisted Op-Ed

The Yad Vashem Holocaust museum expresses its shock and dismay from a Yated Ne’eman op-ed claiming that one can learn from the Nazis who separated men from women in the concentration camps that such segregation is natural and normal.

Yad Vashem Spokeswoman Iris Rosenberg points out that “The period of the holocaust was a dark time for humanity, an era filled with satanic evil, when children were separated from their mothers. The Nazis tried to go against anything normal and instinctive according to human norms. We reject with disgust the twisted approach by which any normal human behavior can be deduced from Nazi ideology and actions.”

Gender segregation is Halkhically applicable to certain evironments, and not because the Nazis employed it.
