Amnesty Int'l to Iran: Stop Drug Offender Death Penalty


Amnesty International has called on Iran to cease the death penalty for drug offenders, in response to the findings of a recent report that showed an alarming increase in the number of those receiving death sentences in the country. According to the report, in the last year 252 people, of whom 80% were convicted of drug dealing, were executed after receiving death sentences.
