Education Minister Gideon Saar called upon all Israeli students to take field trips to ancient Shilo. Saar made the comments during a visit to the Cave of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs in Hevron, a site he previously declared a must for all students.
The Tel Shilo archeological site is located in Samaria. In Biblical times was home to the Tabernacle. It contains ruins of ancient synagogues and other artifacts.
