Shechem Core Group: Protect Jews from 'Terrorists'

The Shechem Core Group reacted to Monday evening's wounding of a worshipper at the Tomb of Joseph by repeating its call, Tuesday morning, for a full-time Jewish presence in the Palestinian Authority-assigned Samarian city of Shechem. The group said, in a statement, that Jews should not have to settle for one entrance a month, secured by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The statement noted that this was the second time in six months that a Jew has been shot at the site by Palestinian Authority police officers; the previous time being the murder of Ben-Yoseph Livnat. It concludes with a call for the IDF "to protect [the] Jews from 'Palestinian terrorists.'"
