Kosher slaughterers and mashgichim (supervisors of kashrut) held a conference over the weekend, which dealt with their employment conditions, which have worsened due to the increasing competition in the field of kosher slaughter.
During the conference, which was held in Bnei Brak, the slaughterers and supervisors met with the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Yona Metzger, who decided to establish a union that would act on their behalf.
