Ariel: Provide Alternative Until Rambam Bridge Re-Opens

Member of Knesset Uri Ariel (National Union) called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Public Safety Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich, Sunday, to provide an alternative entrance for Jews to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, pending re-opening of the bridge between the Western Wall Plaza and the Rambam (Mughrabi) Gate. Dozens of Jews were denied access to the Temple Mount when the bridge was closed due to fear that it could collapse or catch fire.

MK. Ariel agreed that the bridge should be destroyed and replaced immediately, adding that this should not stop Jewish access to the Temple Mount for even a moment. The Har Habayit Shelanu (Our Temple Mount) movement noted that up until Sunday, the police had a practice of opening another gate to Jews when there was not access via the Rambam Gate.
