Doctors, Goverment Agree on Health Care Reform
Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz expressed his satisfaction with the agreement reached with medical interns and residents at Tel Hashomer Hospital. "We're here tonight to the end of public health crisis," stated Steinitz, "I hope that tomorrow we will walk a new path, with the main goal being how to better benefit the patients."
51 physicians voted for the new measures, 1 voted against. The residents and interns had threatened a full scale strike due to employee conditions. Residents in other medical centers in the country have yet to agree.
