Russia Downgrades Ties With Qatar

Russia on Monday downgraded its ties with Qatar, after it said customs officials at Doha Airport in Qatar beat him. According to the Russians, the officers tried to seize a diplomatic pouch from the ambassador. When he refused they beat him, sending him to the hospital. Two other diplomats were also attacked, the Russians said.

Ambassador Vladimir Titorenko has been recalled, and he will not return until Qatar apologizes
