An Arab shepherd was arrested Monday outside Yitzhar by security officials of the Yishuv. The Arab was seen trying to start a fire in a vineyard owned by Jews. Eyewitnesses saw him try to start the blaze, and security officials detained him until IDF troops came and took charge of the situation. The shepherd was questioned by security officials and released.
Arabs had earlier attempted to claim that the shepherd had been “kidnapped” by Yitzhar residents.
