Lebanon Files UN Complaint Against Israel

Lebanon on Monday filed a complaint against Israel with the UN, accusing Israel of shelling villages in south Lebanon. The shelling took place last week, after terror groups fired missiles at Israel from villages in south Lebanon. Israel has said numerous times that it holds the Lebanese government responsible for terrorist missile firings from that country's territory.

The complaint called Israel's retaliation of the terrorist missile fire “a flagrant violation of Lebanese sovereignty, UN Security Council Resolution 1701, international law and the UN charter.”
