Knesset Won't Discuss Ze'ev Plan for Moshe Katzav

The Knesset presidency said, Monday, that it would not formally discuss Member of Knesset Nissim Ze'ev's request for a plenum discussion of his initiative for former president Moshe Katzav to serve his seven-year term for rape and other charges at home.

Speaker Reuven Rivlin, who went on record against the initiative last week, noted that the Knesset Interior and Environmental Affairs ministry will discuss the matter on Tuesday, as well as the objections of Public Safety Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich, making discussion of the request unecessary.
