Shekel Stronger, Dollar and Euro Fall Equally

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .211 percent, Friday, against most of the currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.732, down .241 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro declined .24 percent to 5.0311.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.851, down .437 percent, and the Japanese yen fell .426 percent, 100 yen buying 4.7948 shekels. The Swiss franc fell nine tenths of a percent to NIS 4.0731 while the Canadian dollar rose .496 percent to 3.6867 shekels.
