Former Syrian Soldiers to Take Less Agressive Role

The Free Syrian Army (FSA), formed by deserters from the armed forces of President Bashar Al-Assad, reached an agreement, Thursday, with members of the Syrian National Council (SNC), the country's largest opposition group, to coordinate their efforts, according to Agence France Presse.

SNC leader Halid Hoca, told AFP that the two groups agreed, during a meeting in southern Turkey, that ''it is the duty of the FSA to protect the people, not to attack'' the regime.
