Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed the business week, Thursday, with modest to moderate gains. The TA composite index rose half a percent on the day to close at 977.40, while the TA 100 closed at 989.55, up .53 percent, including a .26 percent rise by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues to 1,085.20.
With the insurance index recording a 4.99 percent jump to 1,052.84, the financial institutions finished at 899.26, up 1.46 percent, as the bank stocks rose .14 percent to 949.19. Most of the technology stocks closed at 277.66 up 1.7 percent, while the biomed stocks ros 1.02 percent to 733.39.
